Cordyline australis 'Karo Kiri'
28th April 2012
I don't have a large Cordyline australis in the garden, which is a bit strange. It is the local sign of the exotic in gardens
but although I would like one in theory I don't quite get around to planting one.
I ran into 'Karo Kiri' at a plant fair last year and it seemed interesting enough to be worth trying. I have been told it is a little fickle
and it has certainly been marked by winter so I will wait and see.

The Beast From the East destroyed the main stem in 2018 and I thought that the plant was dead but it has produced new growth from below ground.
