Correa alba comes from south-eastern Australia with broad leaves. Although its distribution includes Tasmania it grown naturally in dry, sunny locations. I am not expecting it to tolerate the moisture in my garden so for now it is in the greenhouse where it has shown that it will take a moderate frost. 'Pinkie' is a selection with pink tinged flowers. In the greenhouse it is clearer in newly opened flowers and at the start of its winter flowering season. It continues to produce occasiional flowers into the new year but they are usually pure white.
