Colocasia esculenta 'Coffee Cups'
2nd September 2007
There are a lot of new cultivars of Colocasia emerging from the USA at the moment. In many of the southern states they make impressive garden plants. In the UK
the climate is a little too cool for them to be truly happy, but they aren't a lot of trouble to dig up the tubers and store for the winter.
This one originated in Indonesia. The brownish leaves are 'cupped' and collect water when it rains.
