An aquatic species from West Africa, so it needs to be kept hot and wet. I probably failed on both counts, because this was the best it managed. Commonly available through the aquarium trade,
my attempt to get it to grow in a pot came to nothing. I have grown it in an aquarium before, but it suffers from rot very easily - the leaves really need to emerge from the water surface for it to
prosper.
