Crocus chrysanthus 'Ard Schenk'
26th February 2010
A pretty white Crocus with a rich yellow throat. I tried it out because hoping for a pure white. The slight blue tinge
should have added interest but it detracted from the clarity of the colour. Genetic research by the RHS and the University of
Reading has showed that it is actually derived from Crocus biflorus pulchricolor but it will remain 'C.chrysanthus'
for now.
