Crocosmia paniculata 'Major'

My original plants came from Jackamoors Hardy Plant Farm (in about 1979) in Enfield, who grew a lot of plants from Perrys Hardy Plant Farm (long since gone), who grew
a lot of plants from E.A.Bowles, who had a lot of plants from Max Leichtlin of Baden-Baden, who introduced it in 1899, so it could have an impeccable pedigree.
However - I can't tell the difference between my plant and the typical C.paniculata of gardens, and wondering if I had confused the stock plants over the years, I bought another,
and I still can't tell the difference!
