Dahlia 'Dahlini Light Orange'

30th June 2016

I like dahlias. I would have a corner of the garden devoted to them if I could find a suitable space. Unfortunately I haven't found anywhere suitable yet, so I avoid buying cultivars.
This tiny little scrap was irresistible. No more than 15 or 20 cm high, the flowers are about 2cm in diameter. At present I am growing it in a pot in the greenhouse because I can't think of anywhere better to put it. It would offer little more than a light lunch to a hungry slug. This seems to be the smallest growing of the Dahlini series.
Raised by Eric Giesen, senior breeder at Syngenta Flowers in the Netherlands.
