I am always a bit wary about Daphne, even the toughest of them seem to drop dead from time to time. was given this one,
and planted it in the open where I knew it would get battered a bit by the wind. I was almost giving it a good reason to drop dead.
I have been forced to reconsider my opinion. It has grown well, withstood some serious gales and now started to flower.

Raised as a seedling from 'Gurkha' by Alan Postill, propagator at Hillier Nurseries. It is a narrow upright plant as a youngster
but fills out as it matures.
