Deuterocohnia lotteae

As is often the way with terrestrial bromeliads, I knew nothing about this until I had bought it, save that the
label promised brown flowers, and brown was enough to get me excited. Introduced to cultivation from South Bolivia
by Mrs Lotte Hromadnik (with her husband Dr. R. Hromadnik). It has survived a mild winter in the greenhouse and then flowered.
I think it should be cold hardy here if dry.
