Dendrobium speciosum var. curvicaule 'Palmerston' AM/AOS

A large growing variety of the species with an isolated distribution centred on the coastal city of Mackay on the east coast of Queensland.
'Palmerston' is a selected clone but I haven't been able to find out what makes it distinct (my plant is still some way from flowering).
It was originally collected from a wild population at Eungella to the west of Mackay and was awarded an AM by the Australian Orchid Council in 2006.
