Disporopsis longifolia BSWJ 5284
13th April 2008
A large growing species collected by Crug Farm Plants in northern Thailand. It may just be due to conditions here, but it seems to attract every slug
within a five mile radius. Twice now I have had it in full growth and then found it eaten off to ground level the next morning. Very tiresome.
I can't imagine that the plant will tolerate that sort of treatment many more times.

I am amazed that I still have it. The slugs attack it as soon as the shoot appears (in late autumn) but it seems
to hang on, and the latest news is that there are two shoots coming up this year (2013).
