Disa Auratkew

Disa aurata x Disa uniflora.
Grex raised by S. and M. Cywes and registered in 1995.
This is the equivalent of D. Kewensis but using the yellow D. aurata rather than the white
D. tripetaloides. The yellow appears in the first generation. I have plants received as
D. Kewensis with the same colour and I wonder if they are actually D. Auratkew.
D. Kewensis was one of the first hybrids, raised in 1893 and I given its importance in later breeding
I had assumed that D. Auratkew was an obvious hybrid to try, but it took 102 years.
