A bright red hybrid with a large number of flowers on the stem.
A first generation hybrid between Disa uniflora and Disa cardinalis, tha latter parent contributes a distinctive shape to the flower.
Raised at the botanic garden at Kirstenbosch in 1981 it was one of the first new hybrids to be registered for nearly 60 years and started the modern
age of hybridising.
