Dregea sinensis 'Variegata'

I used to grow the green leaved form, when it still delighted in the name Watakaka sinensis. Since those days, this variegated form has been introduced
(I think it is a Japanese selction). It hasn't liked the cold of winter, but I remember the green one being much tougher than expected, so I still have hope.
Not many of the Asclepiadaceae are hardy, so it is an interesting oddity, with flowers a bit like a Hoya.

After too many years growing in a small pot in the greenhouse I finally planted it out in the Agave house where it could scramble over the back wall.
Unfortunately it promptly died so this is the last picture.
