I have just been given a large bulb and I have put it in a small pot while it sorts itself out.
I doubt it will mind being a bit pot bound in the first year.

An impressive spike of flower, more significant than the leaves have ever been. The bulb is formed of very swollen leaf bases. In habitat in the Eastern Cape
it grows in crevices in cliffs. It may now belong to the newly described genus Sagittanthera.
