Echinopsis haematantha var kuehnsichii

A species from Bolivia with red flowers, the var kuehnsichii is not officially recognised and has orange flowers.

Mine has clearly got red flowers.

The plant has survived a series of very cold winters and is clearly hardy if dry (and under cover).
I have now planted it in the Agave house where it has been rather harshly treated but may grow faster.
