Epimedium 'Discolor'

This came to me as a species "Epimedium discolor" , which doesn't seem to exist. A form of
E. x versicolor that is very similar to 'Cupreum' but I have only just got it, and it is a bit early to make a judgement.
The name is listed as a synonym of E. x versicolor 'Versicolor' but my plants seem to be different. It is worth admitting that the cultivar names within
E. x versicolor are confused, at best.
