Epimedium grandiflorum koreanum

A yellow flowered form from Korea that may or may not belong here. It is sometimes treated as a species in its own right.

My plant has very pale rather cold yellow flowers which are large and carried on rather stringy stems. That isn't a very meaningful distinction, I know!

At flowering, E.grandiflorum has generally formed low dense clumps of new growth, and the flower stems are scattered among the leaves. My koreanum at flowering, has barely formed its new leaves and the almost naked flower stems are unfurling from the centre of the crown. In summary, rather stringy stems!

Really great pink fluff on the unfolding flower stems!
