The Devil in yellow petals! Where it is happy, it establishes in woodland and spreads slowly into great carpets of yellow in spring. Getting it to establish here
has been a frustrating and probably unsuccessful process. Plants flower in their first season and then disappear for good. Cultivated bulbs are cheap enough and
I will probably continue to plant them, but I don't hold out great hopes for success.
