Euphorbia ceratocarpa

6th June 2015

A large growing species that seems to be in flower for most of the year. I first saw it in the trial of hardy Euphorbia at Wisley, and as is often the way with these thing, was then immediately offered a plant from a local nursery.
Native to Sicily and southern Italy.
I think it is fabulous. If the herbaceous border was sunnier it would go straight in as part of the 'exotic revamp' currently going on. It may well do in despite that, not least because I can't think of anywhere else for it.
