Euphorbia clavarioides var.truncata
11th August 2008
I have grown a fair selection of the succulent Euphorbia over the years, and without exception I have eventually killed them by allowing them to get too cold
in the winter. I was surprised when alpine growers started to suggest that this one was fairly cold tolerant, and have been delighted that it is the case.
I have heard of growers who have it prospering outside, but I keep mine under cover so that it remains fairly dry.

Still with me, despite a run of extremely cold winters. It has started to sprawl rather more than it would in habitat in South Africa
but I put that down to lower light levels.

Growing rapidly and beautifully until some ******* stole it! I lose a few things from time to time, but this really ****** me off.

A few years later and I have replaced the plant because I like it.
