Euphorbia stygiana 'Torridge'
24th October 2015
In the Azores the species occurs as a number of distinct populations on the different islands and there is
some variation between them. 'Torridge' is a cultivar chosen from a seed collection on Pico.
My young plant went in beside a large Magnolia that 'caught' one of the Eucalpytus gunnii that fell in a gale.
Unfortunately the Euphorbia took a glancing blow and was decapitated. More felicitously, it then branched
and is growing into an attractive, dense shrub.
