Ferocactus glaucescens
24th October 2015
One of the smaller species of Ferocactus, it makes an cushion just big enough
to sit on in time and I imagine the spines are an essential protection from fatigued cactophiles haunting the
northern limestone slopes of Hidalgo in Mexico.
Lovely thing, just right for a pot, really hates cold weather. This one was quite badly damaged in its second year
and may not be worth nurturing for much longer.
