Meadowsweet is a lovely native plant for a moist soil. It is a bit vigorous, and this variegated form
is more sedate. The creamy splashed leaves are lovely until it flowers, when they are a bit too fussy.

Graham Stuart Thomas described it as a "bizarre and inferior plant" but I think that is a bit harsh
though I accept it isn't to all tastes. There are brighter variegated plants but it has a distinct charm.
