Ficaria verna 'Bantam Egg'
19th March 2005
Quite commonly you can find plants of Ficaria verna growing in the wild that have petals
that bleach to white in the sun. Often the yellow petals will have bleached white patches on the older flowers.
'Bantam Egg' is a small growing plant. The flowers open yellow but very rapidly bleach to white with a yellow centre.
A pretty little plant that was well named.

My plant is determined to remain yellow flowered, so I assume this is a case of mistaken identity (it is very easy to mix cultivars up, however careful you are!)
