Ficaria verna 'Fried Egg'
19th March 2005
Many wild seedlings of Ficaria verna have petals that bleach to white in hot sun,
but this form found by R.Hoskins in 1992 near Plymbridge does it with a tidy conviction that
raises it way above the ordinary. The flower opens yellow and then fades to white.
