Fothergilla x intermedia 'Blue Shadow'

A hybrid from the USA that was found as a sport on Fothergilla x intermedia 'Mount Airy'. Compact growing with blue tinged leaves.
It can produce bright autumn colour and I have planted it in a bright place in the hope that it will perform here.

So far it has been very slow growing - it added about 3cm in height last year. It will take a year or two before it is 2m tall and burning with spectacular autumn colour.
I can hope. The spring flowers are interesting.
