Tall growing suckering shrub from the cloud forest of the Peru and Bolivia, and fairly cold tolerant.

I find it better if I protect it from radiation frost in winter. This one grows in a large tub and comes under a light roof to protect it during the winter.
Planted in the garden it survives but hasn't been wonderful.
