Fuchsia from Tresco
22nd July 2015
A very remarkable plant originally seen growing on Tresco but several people have introduced cuttings from there. Nobody can offer a better name, so it is currently
circulating as "from Tresco". Typical single flowers with red sepals and a dark purple corolla, it resembles 'Lady Boothby' in having long scrambling shoots
but grows very much larger. I have seen it climbing to 25ft tall through a large shrub and trained into a tall column of flower through a mature Cordyline.
Magnificent thing, the leaves are quite glossy, unlike 'Lady Boothby'.
