Gaultheria sinensis Lilac Berry

Many years ago I grew the typical blue berried form of the species and it was marvellous. I have looked for a replacement
ever since (it died eventually of something or other, time has massaged away the tiresome details).
This is the first opportunity I have had to replace it and perhaps time will tell if the lilac berried form is as good.
