Galanthus 'Augutus (virus free)'
14th February 2017
G. 'Augustus' is an excellent and distinctive selected clone of G.plicatus but it is widely
recognised that stocks are infected with a virus that can distort the leaves and mark them with yellow streaks.
I bought this as a virus free stock asnd I am observing it with interest. I don't think it has been tested for the
presence of a virus, I don't think the virus in the original stock has been characterised, I just think someone
somewhere decided it looked clean. I don't mind. If it is virus free that is excellent, if it isn't I have more
'Augustus' in the garden, which is excellent.
