Galanthus gracilis

16th February 2014

A small growing species with thin, upright glaucous leaves. They are often distinctly twisted. The natural range includes Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and western Turkey and plants are variable. They have a reputation for being short lived, those that persist tend to attract cultivar names. This one originated in a collection of the species by Evolution Plants from the Sarichnar Mountains of SW Turkey.
