Galanthus gracilis Hybrid

15th February 2009

A hybrid that inherits the twisted leaves of G.gracilis but has a larger flower. I have only just bought it

In the garden it has proved to be very vigorous, but I haven't been able to trace anything about it's history. I got it from the plant sales at Wisley on a whim, and I am very pleased with it. Broad glaucous leaves, the green mark covers most of the inner segment with just a small white mark at the base and a white margin at the apex.
