I haven't been very successful with the autumn flowering snowdrops over the years. In the garden they have
formed large clumps, but then faded away,
so it is nice to have a new species to try, and it seems to be flourishing in a pot.

It has done well in a pot indoors and I have enough to try a spare outside. I have seen it prospering in other gardens
so I am hopeful.
The species comes from a small area in Turkey and the Greek island of Kastellorhizo. It was
confused with G.reginae-olgae and G.ivlis ssp. cilicicus for a long time. It
was recognised as distinct and named in 1994.
