I am very fond of all of the small herbaceous Geraniums, but I stopped acquiring new ones many years ago, when the flood of named hybrids overwhelmed me. This is one of my favourite species
, though I keep it in a pot because it is a bit fragile for the garden (among the thugs and rowdies).

This year I have transferred a crown to hydroponic culture, partly to cosset it and bring it to eye level
on the bench, partly out of curiosity.
Originally from mouuntains in Sichuan and Gansu in Western China.
