Geranium x lindavicum 'Lissadell'
30th June 2016
A charming hybrid between G. cinereum and G. argenteum raised at Lissadell Nursery in Sligo, Republic of Ireland
early in the 20th century.
When I first killed it, many years ago, I was trying to grow it outside, which was just stupid.
Now I have it in an alpine house growing in a hydroponic bed, and it has come through a couple of winters
without dying but without really increasing very much.
I have never tried to grow G. argenteum, it is a bit particular about conditions.
I went looking for it once in habitat in France but didn't find it. It exerts a certain fascination over me
which is the only reason I grow the hybrid, but I think it is beyond my skills.
