Gladiolus nanus "Proper Plants"
29th June 2006
I got a pot of bulbs of Gladiolus nanus from Proper Plants, I can't remember why, it probably just seemed like a good idea at the time.
It is probably a named cultivar, but I haven't tracked down a name yet.
It has gone from pot to pot, expanding all the time, and last spring I planted it in the herbaceous border, where it will either prosper or vanish (which would be a pity).
Scarlet flowers in masses in June with clashing cerise flashes in the lower petals.
