Gynura cusimbua
31st October 2015
A tall growing herbaceous species from the Himalayas (India through to China). Here it has reached about 1.4m and produced insignificant yellow flowers at the end of the year.
The most impressive thing are the broad, exotic leaves and the pale pinkish midrib. Surprisingly vigorous and surprisingly hardy. I have yet to plant it in the herbaceous border
but it is going out there shortly.
