Habranthus 'Atamasco'

21st June 2009

The standard warning with Habranthus and Zephyranthes applies here - don't believe any of the names, it is all hogwash, especially those names that seem the most credible.
Fortunately, we aren't in credible territory here. The name should really be Zephyranthes atamasca but this certainly isn't it, which has white/pink flowers. This is certainly a Habranthus, and my guess is that it is Habranthus tubispathus, though it is a particularly good coppery form.
One day I will correct the name, but I'm not that confident yet.
