An easily grown South African bulb, the fluffy white flowers can be produced at any time of year, but are most common in mid summmer. Grows easily in shade or sun, but
best in a pot that allows it to dry out from time to time. Not quite hardy, but very forgiving if it is dry.
A sudden freeze in March killed all of my plants so I have jumped straight back on the horse and bought another.
Some portions of my original plant have survived so I am now using more protection through the winter.
