Halimium 'Susan'
7th July 2013
Cistus and its relatives don't last very well here, the weather is too dull and damp in the summer.
They grow large and lush, flower with insane enthusiasm and then drop dead in the winter.
It doesn't stop me enjoying them but I don't expect them to last for long. This Halimium
has been a surprise, surviving for a couple of years now and flowering gently throughout the summer.
Raised by Eric Sammons, this is a hybrid between H.lasianthum 'Formosum' and H.ocymoides.
