Another recent acquisition from Aloha Tropicals . Raised by Mr Koyama in Japan and imported into the USA in the 1960's.

"Stout growing habit with large wide leaves with heavy texture. Large loose bloom heads 12" long, of deep yellow flowers with a dark red throat and prominent red stamen surround the terminal spike.Blloms summer/fall. Height to 6'"
