Hedychium 'Double Eagle'

A hybrid raised by Tom Wood with large apricot flowers. The raiser describes it as:
"Five to six feet tall and featuring a six inch spike of large coppery gold flowers.
Hardy from zone 7 south and blooming from July to September."

I rather like the little streaks at the base of the foliage.

Flower cones formed this year, but were destroyed by winter.
