Hedychium 'Elizabeth'

A large hybrid raised by Tom Wood in the 1980's, the flowers are unusual for their strong pink colour without
the yellowish shades usually seen. The labellum has a large orange patch at the base, but this doesn't
affect the clarity of the pink from a distance.

This is what turned up when it flowered - unfortunately this is 'Goldflame' not 'Elizabeth', but I have now obtained the real thing!

This is the real thing, though it hasn't yet flowered here.
