There are a number of modern American hybrids in circulation, and while they all perform well in the USA, here in the UK they are variable. Some are excellent, others are a waste of time.
'Sherry Baby' was introduced by Larry Shatzer in Florida and is a seedling from H. 'Gardner Waters'. There are many salmon orange hybrids, but this one is one of my favourites
because it flowers early and reliably. I received two sections of rhizome in March 2006, and both of them came up to flower that year, which is an astonishing performance.
