The "Tai" series of hybrid Hedychium were all raised by Doyle Smittle, previously of the
University of Georgia and selected for their floral impact. They are slowly being distributed
more widely.

The description from Plantation Gardens says:
"Plants are 5-6 feet tall. The 8-10 inch open inflorescence produces 60-70 shell pink, 2 inch butterfly
blossoms having dark pink centers and pistillate structures."
