The hybrid between H.niger and H.argutifolius. These are becoming very popular, flowering from January through until April.
The big garden centres and retailers find them especially useful, they are mass produced by tissue culture and provide some welcome cheer
in the traditionally dark retailing days of the new year. The retailers love them, they are good plants, and eventually gardeners
have followed where they are led. I'm a little cynical. If you stock it, they will buy (and I did).
