Hemerocallis 'Chicago Heirloom'
Archive entry 24.06.07

A good example of a fairly modern hybrid. Green throat, purple eyezone, clear pink petals that
are broad, overlapping with a frilled margin.
The Chicago daylilies were bred by James Marsh, who specialised in lilac and purple tetraploids.
He arranged for his best plants to be transferred to Charles Klehm and Sons Nurseries on his death
and they registered and introduced this one in 1980.
