An orange, double flowered Hippeastrum. I have been conducting a small trial with Hippeastrums over the last year, to see if they will tolerate winter in the conservatory.
So far, so good - but there's no point in me growing many unless they will take a bit of cold - I already grow far too many tender plants!
So far, I have yet to see a double Hippeastrum that I would call attractive, but it could happen.
