Hydrangea macrophylla 'Pirates Gold'

When Hydrangea are good, they are very good. Unfortunately for the most part they are just filler, like fish paste in a sandwich.
This new varigated form is one of the very good. I haven't had it long enough to see it flower, with leaves like this I don't really care if
I never do. It will probably be almost impossible to fit it into the garden in a harmonious manner, but into the garden it is going, fit or not!

As expected, it stands out in the garden! It is growing rather slowly and that is possibly a good thing.
